The Congress for Democratic Coalition has nominated a convict and a criminal indictee in person of G. Eric Vaye or Eric Vaye as representative aspirant in Electoral District #5 , Montserrado County.
The Congress for Democratic Coalition has nominated an escaped convict and and a criminal indictee in person of G. Eric Vaye or Eric Vaye as representative aspirant in Electoral District #5 , Montserrado County.
According to documents in our possession, G. Eric Vaye or Eric Vaye along with four others was convicted of Theft of Property on January 17,2007 at Criminal Court C. According to then Judge Yussif Kaba now Associate Justice ruling, the criminal defendants were found guilty of Theft of Property.
The court sentenced them to three years imprisonment and told them to restitute the amount that was the subject of this criminal investigation.
Their lawyers(defendants) excepted to the Judge Kaba ruling and took an appeal to the Honorable Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court sitting in its October Term AD 2008 on Feb. 6, 2009 adjudged the appeallants upheld the ruling of the trial Court but with amendment. The Supreme Court increased the jail term to 6 years instead of 3.
The nomination of Mr. Vaye also violates Chapter 3.2 of the New Election Law of 1986.
In 2019, the same Eric Vaye was indicted along with three others with mutiple criminal charges at the Nation Lottery Authority. Criminal Court A ordered their arrest and they all fled the country.
As you may be aware, the CDC led government, denied an elected senator of UP from taking his seat at the senate because he was convicted of Theft of Property.
How did CDC copy what happened to UP? According to our sources, escaped convict and criminal indictee G. Eric Vaye or Eric Vaye is a confidant of Hon. Thomas P. Fallah. It is widely believed that it was Hon.Thomas P. Fallah who unilaterally selected this criminal and the CDC Primary Committe failed to do due diligence.
Some insiders informed this institution that some members of the CDC Electoral District #5 Youth League vehemently rejected this escaped convict and criminal indictee but according to sources furthered that Hon. Fallah invited the youths at his Johnsonville residence to forget about cause.,They were coerced to cave in to his demand.
So escaped convict and criminal indictee became the lone aspirant at the Coalition ticket.
