The administration of the Bomi Community College has confirmed that two of her Senior Students on affliction in Gbarnga, Bong County have been diagnosed with Lassa fever.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with one of the local stations in the County, the head of the Nursing department at the Bomi Community College Mr. Boakai Karnley  noted that the two students contracted the virus at the Phebe Hospital while carrying on their practical profession.

He noted that despite the diagnosis of the Lassa fever, the two senior students are positively responding to treatment, while one of the two is expected to be discharged in the coming days.

The head of the Nursing department at BCC also disclosed that when the institution received the shocking information, a dispatch from the School was sent to Bong County and made some provisions in ensuring the stable health condition of the students.

Meanwhile, Mr. Karnley further used the medium to call on parents of the two students that the College will work with the administration of the Phebe Hospital to ensure the wellbeing of the senior students while on the studies.
