After a splendid performance on Wednesday at the Examination Hall of Liberian Football (SKD Sports Stadium), Two (2) teams finally qualified to the Grand Finals of the National County Sports Meet 2020/2021 in both football and kickball categories in the ongoing Orange Sponsored League in Liberia.
In kickball, Grand Bassa County defeated Lofa County 3-2 home runs while Nimba County in a penalty shoot defeated defending champs Margibi by reaching second (2nd) base and first (1st) base respectively to reach the grand final of the ongoing tournament.
Meanwhile, in football, Montserrado County defeated defending champions Grand Kru County (5) times winners 2-1 goal in the Semi Finals to reach the Grand Final. Margibi County suffered a 3-2 defeat to Lofa County in a post match penalty shoot out on Wednesday at the SKD Sports Stadium in Paynesville outside Monrovia.
Defending Champions Grand Kru are expected to take on Margibi County in a third (3rd) place play off on Saturday at the SKD Sports Stadium in Paynesville .fdktv liberia
In the Grand Finals, two time winners Montserrado County is expected to take on Lofa County who have never won the prestigious trophy since the formation of this tournament.
The Wologizi boys are in high spirit in ensuring that thy win this year’s tournament as they claimed its their time. But, the biggest question is: Can they Win? This multi million dollar question can only be answered on Sunday January 31, 2021 after a 90 minutes of play.
