The Liberia Electricity Cooperation to excel in providing a reliable, affordable and effective electric across the country; as the newest acting Managing Director Mohammed Sheriff has vowed to work tirelessly in modernizing the LEC.

During an assessment tour at the LEC Thermal Plant on Bushrod Island, Director Sheriff had an acquaintance meeting with staffers of the cooperation and listened to the plights of workers as a means of tackling the Many challenges the cooperation is confronted with.

For the intent of the meeting, workers mentioned unfair salaries disparities, insufficient human capacity, nepotism, insufficient mobility and poor technical services are challenges confronting the effective operations of the LEC.

In this light, Director Sheriff assured a new dawn at the LEC and promised to work with the limited resources to tackle those challenges. He at the same time urged workers to prioritize their needs and work diligently in making sure the LEC meets its objectives.
